Hygiene, food poisoning and the Bristol stool chart 💩

In the largest expansion of the Superbugs Adventure Trail in two years, we are proud to be launching new content around the topic of hygiene.

Why is hygiene so important? What kind of germs do we carry on our hands? How do we wash our hands properly? What happens when we leave food lying around in our kitchen for a week? What is food poisoning? And what can we learn from the shape of our own poop?

All this — and more! — is now addressed in a fun and engaging way, combining key information with videos and quizzes.

The new content now forms an integral part of our Adventure Trail and can be accessed directly via the links below.

These pages were created by Amalraj Eyyath-Veettil as part of his Master of Science (MSc) studies at Swansea University.

The development of the content and the evaluation of the learning outcomes of visitors will form a key aspect of his MSc dissertation. Which is why Amalraj would be delighted to receive your feedback about what you like most, and what you don’t like so much, in order for him to improve the experience further!

The new materials were already tested successfully during a workshop at Llangewydd Junior School in Bridgend in July 2024.
