Menstrual Hygiene Day 2023 👧🏿

Raising awareness and breaking taboos in high schools in Monrovia, Liberia

Today, we celebrated Menstrual Hygiene Day with over 120 participants, and also officially launched the parlor phase of our Sexual and Reproductive Health Programme under the theme “Empowering Young Girls for a Healthier and Reproductive Future”.

This important day is dedicated to raising awareness about menstrual hygiene and breaking taboos surrounding menstruation. Every day, millions of women and girls around the world experience their periods, and it's time to ensure you have access to the resources and support you need, and to shed light on the importance of maintaining healthy habits during your period. By prioritising menstrual hygiene, using clean and safe products and changing them regularly, you not only ensure your comfort but also prevent infections and promote overall well-being. ⁣⁣

Let's break the silence, support each other and create a world where menstrual hygiene is understood, respected and accessible for all.
